Brighton is hotter than Hawaii today as the temperatures soar - and the warm weather is set to continue well into next week.
Thousands are expected to flock to the seafront today and over the weekend to enjoy the sunshine as the city and the Sussex coast sees the heat reach close to 30C.
The sweltering temperatures make Brighton warmer than many red-hot seaside resorts, including Hawaii, Rio de Janeiro, Barcelona, Ibiza and Los Angeles.
While parts of England have been issued with thunderstorm warnings over the weekend, Sussex is set to be spared any wet and stormy conditions, with the warm weather forecast to continue into next week.
Temperatures in Brighton are set to remain between 26C and 27C until at least next Thursday, according to the Met Office.
It comes as an amber alert for heat health was issued for South East England, in place until Tuesday morning.

In bad news for hay fever sufferers, very high pollen counts are also forecast in Brighton until at least Tuesday.
The warning, issued by the UK Health Security Agency, said temperatures are expected to become “very warm or hot inland from Saturday to Monday”.
Met Office deputy chief meteorologist Dan Harris said: “Temperatures will rise into the weekend, with a plume of warm air being drawn in from the south.
“Temperatures over the weekend could peak around 30C in some parts of England and remain well above average during night-times.
“Coupled with the rise in temperatures is an increase in the likelihood of some potentially heavy and thundery showers, which could bring some localised disruption in the far southwest from as early as late Friday, but more likely more widely into the weekend.”
