Two men have been arrested and a kilogram of cocaine was seized from a campsite on the South Downs after they were stopped in Brighton.
A 42-year-old man of no fixed address and a 28-year man from Harlow were arrested after being stopped by police in Preston Road, Brighton. Then police discovered cocaine, cannabis and items linked to drug supply at the campsite in Hassocks.
Officers were alerted to a suspicious vehicle in Preston Road, Brighton, on May 28 where police discovered a bag filled with cash and two pieces of gold.
The 28-year-old driver was arrested on suspicion of driving without a licence, without insurance and driving under the influence of drugs, and later on suspicion of money laundering.

His 42-year-old passenger was wanted for a number of violent offences and was linked to the campsite, where officers discovered a kilogram of cocaine, cannabis and items linked to drug supply, police said.
He was arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm, intentional strangulation, threats to kill, threats with a knife and sexual assault by touching in relation to outstanding matters.
He was further arrested on suspicion of money laundering, as well as being concerned in the supply of cocaine and possession with intent to supply cannabis and cannabis resin,
The pair have been released on conditional bail while the investigation continues.
