Brighton has been crowned the best city for student friendly jobs.

Language learning platform Preply analysed over 3 million LinkedIn job ads, over 12,000 Glassdoor company ratings, and hundreds of salaries from more than 90 European locations and found that Brighton is the best in the UK when it comes to job opportunities for students.

To find out the ultimate destinations in the UK and Europe for students to find work while studying, the platform combined five metrics into an overall weighted index:

  • Where the highest proportion of student-friendly jobs are available per 1,000 jobs.
  • Where the highest proportion of student-friendly jobs are available per 100,000 of the population.
  • Which locations offer the best rates of pay for student-friendly jobs.
  • Which locations have the highest-rated employers, offering student-friendly employment.
  • Which locations offer the highest proportion of student-friendly jobs suitable for non-native speakers.

The research reveals that Brighton is the best UK destination for working while studying with a score of 85 out of 100.

Cambridge comes in second (82 out of 100) and Bath in third (81/100).
