This is the last weekend one of Brighton's favourite burger restaurants will sell its latest special, which includes espresso coffee.
Honest Burgers Brighton launched its Texas BBQ Special for the month of May and it remains on sale until Monday.
The Texas BBQ Special is a collaboration with Gloucestershire-based seasoning and sauce brand Tubby Tom's.
The burger is smothered in two sauces, Texas Drip and Fire Candy. The sauce includes coffee for its kick. You cannot taste the coffee but the burgers are definitely lively in a good way. The winners here are still the amazing beef burger and the brioche bun. This special is really good in the same way other Honest Burgers are though this one does have a great kick to it.

It features double American cheese, bacon, caramelised onions, candied jalapeno mayo, pickles and lettuce which creates an indulgent combination with great flavours.
Established in 2014, Tubby Tom's started selling to a local farm shop in Gloucestershire and is still making everything by hand (with a little help from his mum).
Adam Layton, Honest Burgers' head of food, said: “Tom is the madcap creator of a thousand delicious spice rubs and sauces. He can’t sit still. Every day there is a new recipe and his creativity blows me away.
“Tom’s Texas Drip BBQ sauce is ‘McDonald’s BBQ sauce in heaven’, spiked with a little espresso coffee. We tame his Fire Candy candied jalapeno hot sauce with mayo as a creamy counterpoint to the rich, syrupy BBQ sauce. It’s everything you want from a BBQ burger.”
Tom Hughes, founder of Tubby Tom’s, said: “Get ready to taste the best burger ever created. I’ve eaten 11 of them already and can confirm it slaps. One bite of this burger and you’ll be transported to a cattle ranch in Texas, whip in hand and spurs on the heels.”
The Texas BBQ Burger will be available at all 43 Honest Burgers’ restaurants until June 5 and is priced at £14.50, served with homemade rosemary salted chips for dine-ins and collection or £15.50 with a side when ordered via Uber Eats.

Honest Burgers was co-founded by friends Tom Barton and Philip Eeles in Brighton in 2009. The restaurant is in Duke Street.
On May 23 2022, Honest announced its switch to using regeneratively farmed British beef in partnership with farming collective GrassRoots, in a move which transforms the group’s supply chain to reduce its carbon footprint and the environmental impact of eating beef.
By the start of 2024, all restaurants will serve this beef, which Tom and Phil hope will make a hugely positive impact on the British farming industry and environment.
