Two people were rescued by the Coastguard after an inflatable vessel they were on was blown out to sea.
The pair were in a small inflatable boat, which was blown away from the beach in Seaford Bay by an off-shore breeze
RNLI volunteers and a coastguard helicopter were called to the incident yesterday afternoon and rescued both people, who were said to be “noticeably shaken” by the incident.
After being confirmed to be fit and well, a lifeboat transported them both to the waiting Coastguard team on the beach.

Coxswain Lee Blacknell urged people to be cautious when setting out at sea.
He said: “As warmer weather arrives, we remind people to check weather and tide before setting out on the water.
“If you find yourself in trouble in the water, remember Float to Live. Tilt your head back to submerge your ears.
“Your legs may naturally sink and you may need to use your hands to scull.”
It comes a week after two children were saved from an inflatable kayak which was being blown out to sea.
The RNLI warned people not to use inflatables at sea following the incident due to the risk of being caught in the tide and needing help from the emergency services.
