A photographer has taken to the skies to capture landmarks across the region from above.
Lensman Dennis Hunt hopped aboard a light aircraft for an unforgettable journey over Sussex.
The keen photographer and member of The Argus Camera Club flew over the Amex Stadium, Arundel Castle and the West Pier on the evening flight, as the shadows grew longer towards the end of the day.
The snapper was given the incredible opportunity after he made a series of family photographs, in return for a flight 2,000 feet above the county.
He set off from Deanland Airfield near Lewes on Saturday in the co-pilot seat of the two-man plane shortly before sunset.
Dennis, from Shoreham, said: "It was quite late in the afternoon and the sun was lowering, so you got all these lovely shapes and textures on the land.
"You don't quite appreciate just how many folds and valleys there are in the South Downs from ground level."
He used his trusty Olympus OM-1 camera and a 12-100mm zoom lens, which he said is "a really super lens."
One of the highlights of his evening journey was seeing the West Pier from above. He said: "All you can see from the land is the iconic silhouette of the West Pier, but from above there is the whole outline of the structure.
"It's really surprising seeing things from the air. You could really see how the housing developments follow the contours of an area, particularly in Saltdean which is like a bowl."
