A company is facing trial for allegedly using unlicensed security at the Covid Vaccination Site in Brighton's Churchill Square.
Citiguard Security Limited, a security industry services provider based in Pinner Road, Pinner, Middlesex, has been accused of violating the Private Security Industry Act 2001.
On November 9, 2021, during a shift at the Covid Vaccination Site in Churchill Square Shopping Centre, Brighton, the company allegedly used an unlicensed security operative to provide security services.
This conduct is licensable, and it is alleged that the security operative was not approved to provide such services.
Citiguard Security Limited pleaded not guilty and opted for a trial by jury during the hearing in Willesden Magistrates' Court in North West London on April 20.
Harrow Crown Court said the trial will be taking place on April 15, 2024.
The city centre vaccination site closed its doors in August last year after giving nearly 182,000 vaccinations for Covid-19.
