Mum Holly Sanchez was killed by a blow to the head, an inquest heard.
The mum-of-four was found at a house where she had previously lived in Oates Walk, Crawley.
Mrs Sanchez, 32, described as a homemaker, died on May 13 from blunt force head injury.
An inquest heard the man accused of her murder identified her body.
Ryan Evans, 30, identified her body. And then a post mortem examination was held at Worthing.
"Holly Sanchez was found unresponsive at an address in Crawley, West Sussex on May 13, 2023, death was confirmed at the location," Coroner's officer Vanessa Tiller said.
He has appeared in crown court charged with murdering Mrs Sanchez and will be tried in October.
The date for an inquest has been set for November.
Tributes poured in for Mrs Sanchez on Facebook who was described as a “lovely girl”.
