One of the UK’s top comedians will appear at a city record shop to sign copies of his debut album tomorrow.
Funnyman James Acaster will be at Bella Union, in Church Street, Brighton, to mark the release of Party Gator Purgatory on Wednesday.
Acaster learned to play the drums in lockdown and sent the audio to some 40 musicians he admired for them to play on top of.

The result was a mix of 40 musicians, going by the name Temps, with a sound varying between jazz, funk, and hip-hop.
“It’s quite a thrill for us to welcome James down to our tiny wee shop, and kudos to him for agreeing to it,” said store owner Simon Raymonde.
Party Gator Purgatory has been met with brilliant reviews in the UK and features for some seriously great music, despite apprehensions that it could be a joke record, having been made by a comedian.
The album is available now from Bella Union and can include a ticket to tomorrow’s signing. Doors open at 5.30pm.
