An annual gin festival has announced its line-up with an orchestra with a twist set to take to the stage.

The Sussex Gin Festival celebrates all things gin in and around the count, and this year promises to be bigger and better than ever before, according to the event boss.

Taking place over 2,300 acres in the Borde Hill Estate, the festival will include talks from celebrity chefs and musicians.

The Argus:

The Symphonic Ibiza have been announced as the headline act on Saturday, July 8, with a 90-minute set featuring club anthems from the last 30 years.

They will follow a day of cooking masterclasses by Julien Plumart, Avinash Shashidhara and Steven Edwards from Etch in Church Road, Hove, among others.

Founder of Brighton Gin Kathy Caton will be on hand throughout the day to showcase her cocktail skills.

The boss of event organiser E3 events David Hill said: "We are so excited to have Symphonic Ibiza appearing this year. They are massive on the summer festival circuit and we are lucky to get them.

"We have also just partnered with the Ibiza brand Cafe Del Mar and we will be serving Cafe Del Mar gin on the day."

The Argus:

Also on the festival site will be a range of bars and a market. There will also be food from celebrity chef Matt Gillan and his team.

David added: "Last year's was an outstanding success and now we want to make it even bigger.

"It is going to be a huge day and we encourage people to book their tickets as soon as possible.

"We've gone big this year on celebrity chefs as well as focusing on the craftsmanship of independent Sussex, British and worldwide gin distillers.

"Sussex produce is at the heart of this unique festival but we are also keen to showcase gins from across the world along with international culinary options to complement them."

Tickets start from £20 and can be booked online.
