Police have urged drivers to be more careful after a car crashed into a lorry.

The Co-op articulated lorry was driving along a main road in Sussex when the accident happened.

A red Ford Focus pulled out of a side road and ploughed into it.

It is not known whether anyone was injured but the car was badly damaged, with its front bumper and bonnet crushed.

A sign saying "Please be careful around this vehicle" was torn from the side of the lorry.
