An award-winning comedian has spoken of his excitement at getting back on the road for his new tour which will see him perform for three nights in Brighton.
Jack Whitehall is bringing his new UK wide tour, his first in four years, to the Brighton Centre on June 13, 14 and 15 this year.
The comedian, actor, writer and presenter said the show is his “most personal yet” and explores the new stage in his life.
He said he missed live stand-up and was “itching” to get back on the road.
“I love doing stand-up, it’s my first love,” he said. “It’s what I first started doing, Edinburgh Festival when I was 17.
“I hadn’t done stand up for a while and I was starting to get the itch to get back up on stage in front of an audience.
“A lot of life has happened in the four years since I did my last tour.
“In that time, you jot ideas down and come up with little bits and thoughts for routines.
“Before I knew it I had enough for an hour.
“I’ve had some big life moments. I’ve met my partner and we’ve moved in together, we’ve got a dog and I’ve felt myself settling down in my life.
“So that’s the theme of the show.”
The 34-year-old said he loves performing in the city and praised Brighton audiences.
“I’m very excited to be performing at the Brighton Centre,” he said.
“I always love performing in Brighton, it’s a great place for comedy.
“It’s got a really good comedy scene and the audiences are always fun to perform in front of.”
As well as a new tour, Jack has been busy with his film career.
He most recently starred alongside Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt in Disney’s Jungle Cruise and in Clifford The Big Red Dog for Paramount. Both films are currently in development for sequels.
He will next star alongside Shailene Woodley in Robots, an independent romantic comedy directed by Academy Award nominee Ant Hines.
He has also just finished filming the second season of the Apple TV+ hit comedy series The Afterparty opposite Tiffany Haddish, Zoe Chao and Sam Richardson, which will be released in 2023.
Tickets for Jack Whitehall: Settle Down are available from Ticketmaster.
