A 45-year-old man from Lancing was caught exceeding the speed limit on the A27 Upper Brighton Road.
Damian Foreman, from Upper Brighton Road, was driving a Nissan when he was caught by an automatic camera device on April 6, 2022, at Hillbarn.
Foreman pleaded guilty to exceeding a 40mph speed limit in contravention of a local traffic order.
He was required to appear before Brighton Magistrates' Court on April 26, 2023.
He was then fined £200 and ordered to pay a surcharge of £34 to fund victim services.
Additionally, he was required to pay costs of £85.
He was given three points on his driving licence.
The court acknowledged Foreman's guilty plea, which was taken into account when imposing his sentence.
The defendant was also subject to a collection order.
