A four-time Formula 1 World Champion is set to drive at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Sebastian Vettel, who won driver’s and constructor’s championships with Red Bull, will attend the popular motorsport event as it returns in 2023.
Vettel, who also drove for Ferrari and Aston Martin before retiring last year, will drive exclusively on eco-friendly fuels in line with his passion for sustainability.
The racing driver said: “It's great to be coming back to Goodwood after all these years. I can't wait to get behind the wheel of some of my most memorable cars which will be running on sustainable fuel over the weekend.
“I’m a passionate racer and it’s important to me that we continue to enjoy driving iconic racing cars today and, in the future, but that we do so in a responsible way.”
Vettel previously drove at the event in 2012 and this year will drive a number of cars from his personal collection.

Appearing at the event on Saturday, July 15, and Sunday, July 16, Vettel will drive cars previously raced by Nigel Mansell and Ayrton Senna.
This year’s Festival of Speed will also celebrate 75 years of motorsport events on the Goodwood Estate, near Chichester.
The festival is pushing to include more cars using sustainable and alternative fuels, with Vettel wishing only to drive on synthetic fuels at the event.
The Duke of Richmond said: “I am enormously excited to welcome Sebastian back to Goodwood this summer. I know our fans will be delighted to have an opportunity to celebrate his incredible career and to see him in action on the Hill.
“His attitude towards sourcing alternative fuels absolutely aligns with our plans across the event and the wider Estate to ensure we are shining a light on this important topic and protect motorsport for the next generation.”
Goodwood Festival of Speed will take place from Thursday, July 13, last four days. Tickets for the weekend are now sold out with a limited number of tickets for the first two days.
