A heartbroken mother and father have told of their agony over the sudden death of their student daughter.
Melissa Zoglie, of Preston Park, Brighton, died on Monday last week after suffering intense abdominal pain since the day before.
Her parents Antoinette Adjo and Franklin Zoglie said the 21-year-old would do “anything for anyone” and her death has left a gaping hole in their family.
“She was a kind-hearted girl, very happy and always smiling,” said Franklin.
“She was there for everyone. She never complained.
“Melissa had so many friends. They have all said they couldn’t believe it. Everyone is totally shocked.
"We don't know the cause of death yet."
Melissa studied at Cardinal Newman school in Hove before going on to the University of Law, London, were she read international business management.
She lived at home with her parents and brothers, Mario, 17, and Matthew, 11, and juggled supporting her family and commuting each day to the capital for university.
“The pain is unexplainable. She did everything for me,” said Antoinette.
“It’s like my world has been turned upside down.
“She was like a mother to her brothers. They miss and love her. We all do.”
A page of tributes was set up on social media for Melissa. One person said: “She was such a beautiful and kind soul and she leaves a massive gap in this world.
“My thoughts are with the family at this devastatingly sad time. Melissa thank you for all the joy and laughter you brought, you will be missed.”

Another said: “Loved by so so many, I’m so lucky to have had you in my life and have years of beautiful memories with you that will stay with me for ever. I still can’t believe I’m even writing this.”
Cardinal Newman principal Claire Jarman said the school was “incredibly sad” to learn of Melissa's death.
“Staff at Newman knew her as a lovely, bubbly, young girl with amazing energy. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family,” she said.
An inquest into Melissa's death will be held next month.
Melissa’s family have set up a fundraising page to cover the cost of her funeral and are taking donations here.
