We asked an artificial intelligence model to list the worst things about living in Brighton.
Chat GPT is an AI language model, which can answer questions and assist with tasks, such as composing emails, essays, and code.
But the robot was quick to assert that is unable to form opinions.
It said: "I do not have personal experiences or emotions and I cannot form opinions or preferences.
"However, based on what some people have reported, there are several potential downsides to living in Brighton."
It listed five things and gave reasons the issues make Brighton a difficult city to live in.

- High cost of living: Brighton is a popular city and the cost of living can be quite high, particularly when it comes to housing and rent. The city's desirability, combined with a shortage of available housing, can result in high prices.
- Crowds and tourism: Brighton is a popular tourist destination and during peak season can become quite crowded, which can be overwhelming for some residents. Additionally, tourists can sometimes create litter and noise pollution which can be frustrating for locals.
- Traffic and public transport: Like many cities, Brighton can experience traffic congestion, particularly during rush hour. Public transport can also be overcrowded and unreliable at times, making commuting a challenge for some.
- Homelessness: Brighton has a relatively high homeless population and this can be a concern for some residents. While there are programmes in place to help support those who are homeless, the issue remains a significant challenge in the city.
- Weather: Although Brighton is known for its seaside location, the weather can be unpredictable and it can be quite windy and rainy at times, which can be challenging for those who prefer milder climates.
