An avid knitter has adorned a postbox to support the Seagulls as they take on Manchester United.

Juliette Watson, from Hangleton, is celebrating the big game in style.

She has crocheted an Albion-themed postbox-topper to bring the game closer to her community, near St. Helen's Park.

Brighton and Hove Albion will face Manchester United in Wembley Stadium this afternoon, as part of the FA Cup semi final.

The 57-year-old said: "I thought I would do it as a bit of a surprise for the community.

She started working on the knitted decoration at the start of this month, and proudly displayed it atop the postbox yesterday morning.

The decoration features the club's traditional blue and white colours, with a seagull perched on top of a crocheted football.

Juliette added: "I crochet just for fun, and I've done Easter, Christmas and Jubilee ones before - and there is a Coronation one in the pipeline.

All my family are big Brighton and Hove Albion supporters, and they're going up to Wembley tomorrow."

The decoration is part of an artistic movement called yarn bombing, which involves knitted displays appearing on public street furniture.

You can spot the decoration for yourself on the postbox at the corner of Hangleton Lane and St. Helen's Drive.
