Enquiries are still ongoing to identify the body of a woman after she was found near a cliff.
Police said officers responded to a call from HM Coastguard, after the body of a woman was found near cliffs in Eastbourne.
Coastguard rescue units were spotted at the scene, using harnesses and binoculars to look off the edge of the cliff on Sunday evening.
Crews used specialist anchors embedded deep into the cliff, to ensure the safety of the coastguard crew.
Several offroad coastguard vehicles were spotted around the area, alongside officers from Sussex Police.
A spokesman for the force said: "On Sunday, April 16, police responded to call from HM Coastguard about a body of a woman found near cliffs in Eastbourne.
"The death is not currently being treated as suspicious but enquiries are ongoing to identify the woman. A file will also be prepared for HM Coroner."
