Fire crews have been tackling a blaze at a rural house in the early hours of the morning.
East Sussex firefighters have been damping down the scene of the blaze in Back Lane in Cross in Hand near Heathfield since before 5am this morning.
A total of four engines and a water carrier have responded to the incident, with people urged to avoid the area.

A spokeswoman for East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said on Twitter: “We are currently attending a fire at a residential property on Back Lane, Cross in Hand, Heathfield.
“Four fire engines and a water carrier are on scene. Crews are damping down and will remain at the scene for some considerable time. Please avoid the area.”
It is currently unclear how the blaze started.
