A major city centre retailer has shut its doors for the final time.
Zara Home, in Churchill Square, Brighton, ceased trading in a move that shocked shoppers on Monday morning.
A notice in the shop window said the homeware store had shut for good.
It reads: “Dear customers, Zara Home Brighton is now definitely closed.
“For any enquiries about product return, please contact customer service.”
People have since taken to social media to voice their concerns.
Writing on Facebook, one person said: “Not surprised, c*** shop.
“I took an item back with receipt that was more than 28 days old and would not even give a credit note, didn’t expect a refund.
"Never had that before in any shop.

“Told them they wouldn’t last long, serves them right for being so greedy.”
But others will miss the store, with one person saying it is "a shame" business rates cannot be reduced to help the high street.
The reason for the sudden closure is not yet known, but the nearby Zara clothes shop is thought to be unaffected.
Zara was contacted for comment.
