With the long Easter weekend rapidly approaching, we've found some of the best things to do with your family.

From egg hunts to live music, The Argus has compiled a list of some of the best events and activities taking part this warm and sunny weekend.

Coombes Farm Lambing

Lambing season is a staple of the Easter weekend, as 1,000 lambs are set to be born from 600 Ewes in Coombes Farm - Which means there's a great chance to see one being born.

The farm is open every day from 9.30am to 4pm until April 16, and tickets can be purchased online.

Entry is £5 for adults and £4 for children and £1 extra to pay on the gate.

The farm is set in Coombes, in between Shoreham and Steyning, and is a fully working farm set in 1000 acres in the South Downs National Park.

The vineyard is hosting an Easter Wildlife Trail, which will take guests through the vines to the woodlands, past the bluebells, and past a bug hotel along the way.

Children will receive a chocolate treat at the end, with adults being able to indulge in a complimentary wine tasting experience.

Booking is not required, and the estate is open from 12pm to 4pm on Friday to Sunday.

Adult Easter Egg Hunt

Snooper's Paradise in the North Laine is hosting an Easter egg hunt - but for grown-ups.

Staff at the vintage shop in Kensington Gardens will hide 20 golden Easter eggs on Friday night across the labyrinth shop.

Inside each egg is a raffle ticket which relates to a prize waiting behind the cash desk.

This year, prizes include bottles of wine, chocolate, Snoopers Paradise merchandise, £10 gift vouchers and bric-a-brac including cushions, vintage china and Disney Pixar toys. There will even be a 24-karat gold inlaid plate.

A spokeswoman for Snooper's Paradise said: "Our grown-up easter egg hunt was such a hit last year and this year we’ve made it even better.

"We have better prizes, better hiding places and restricting players to one egg each will mean everyone gets a chance to play- even those turning up in the afternoon."

Superworm

Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s tale of the Superworm will be brought to life at Wakehurst, near Haywards Heath.

Children and their families will be brought through a range of interactive activities at the botanical garden, exploring Wakehurst's diverse landscape through the story of the Superworm this weekend

Lorraine Lecourtois, head of public programmes at Wakehurst, said: "The Superworm trail is set to be a very special event at Wakehurst, as we bring this charming tale to life.

"The role of worms in the ecosystem is vital, so it’s a privilege to be able to bring wildlife science to the forefront of our family programme, through a range of activities for all ages.

"Combined with our exciting workshops and practical events, we’re hoping to really immerse visitors in the tale of Superworm.”

Tickets must be pre-booked on Wakehurst's website.

Medieval Festival

Arundel Castle will be celebrating its heritage this Easter Weekend as it opens its doors for a festival of all things medieval.

Visitors will step back in time to 1216 as the castle recreates the gathering of King John and his loyal followers to put down a rebellion and fend off a potential invasion from France.

Axe-throwing, archery and falconry demonstrations will all be on display within the castle grounds, with children even being invited to participate in a battle.

"This is a unique opportunity for visitors to witness history come to life at one of England's most iconic castles," said Andrew Lewis, Castle Manager at Arundel Castle.

Guests are advised to book online.

Orbital

Brothers Phil and Paul Hartnoll will take to the stage at the Brighton Centre to bring their tenth studio album, Optical Delusion, to thousands at the seafront venue.

The duo remain pioneers in the electronic music scene, with over three decades of making music under their belt.

A spokesman for the Brighton Centre said: "They became one of the biggest names in music during the mid-'90s by completely reinventing the notion of what a dance act could do live, turning multitudes of rock fans on to the limitless pleasures of electronic music.

"It’s not for nothing that the band’s colossal set at Glastonbury Festival in 1994 is regularly cited as one of the greatest gigs of all time."

Mods Aid

The Easter Mod Weekender is a huge weekend in the calendar for the Mod scene in Brighton - and this weekend is set to be no different.

Hundreds of mods and their scooters will descend on Madeira Drive as part of the weekend, including a newly-restored Vespa once used by The Who in their Quadrophenia tour.

On Sunday, the day will finish with an event at Concorde 2, in support of the Teenage Cancer Trust and Sussex Homeless Support.
