A toy borrowing service will be relaunched at a city library today.
Children, parents and carers are invited to the launch event at Whitehawk Library, in Whitehawk Road, Brighton, to celebrate the return of the popular service.
The toy library will now have a selection of more than 400 toys and games to borrow for free.
Brighton and Hove City Council said the toys have been carefully selected to reflect family life and diversity and uphold an anti-bias approach to play, care, and education for young children.
For those whose first years of life came during lockdown and for families struggling with the current cost of living crisis, the council said this service is “more important than ever”.

Whitehawk Library will remain the toy library’s main hub, alongside an additional smaller toy collection at Coldean Library.
There will be performances of Toy Quest, an interactive show, to mark the launch at Whitehawk Library tomorrow.
The show, which invites children to help the characters rescue lost toys, will then tour Brighton and Hove’s community libraries during the two-week Easter holiday.
The tour will be followed by six-weekly early years play sessions at Whitehawk library to promote talking as play between parents/carers and children.
