A man remains on bail after a woman died at the weekend.
A 47-year-old man from Newhaven was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on Thursday after a woman was found seriously injured at a property in Cowley Drive, Woodingdean.
Emergency services were called to the address that evening after welfare concerns were raised.
The woman was taken to hospital but later died on Saturday, April 1.

Sussex Police said the cause of her death will be subject to a post-mortem in due course.
Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers at this difficult time.
The man has been released on bail with strict conditions while enquiries continue.
Sussex Police were approached for comment today and said there was no further update at this time.
