Three men have been arrested on suspicion of dealing cocaine after drugs and cash were found in a car.
The “suspicious vehicle” was stopped on the side of the A259 in Brighton where money, mobile phones and the Class A drug were discovered.
One man was arrested and, following a police raid at a linked address, two more men were also detained.
Sussex Police Investigator Jonny Craze said: “This was some fine proactive work from local officers in stopping a suspicious vehicle and rapidly building on intelligence to expand the investigation, seize a significant number of harmful substances and bring three people into custody.

“We will continue to work proactively to make sure Brighton and Hove is an inhospitable place for those wishing to deal drugs.”
A 26-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs and remaining in the UK beyond his time limit. He was transferred to immigration services for investigation.
After the raid in St George’s Road in Brighton, a 36-year-old and 43-year-old from Ascot were also arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs. They have been released on conditional bail.
