The A259 is closed in both directions after a crash involving two cars.
The collision, which took place earlier this morning, has seen police, fire crews and ambulance staff on the scene.
The road is expected to be closed for a number of hours following the incident between the Bridge Roundabout and Benjamin Gray Drive in Littlehampton.

Sussex Police PC Tom Van Der Wee said on Twitter: We’re on scene at a two vehicle road traffic collision in Littlehampton with South East Coast Ambulance Service and West Sussex Fire and Rescue service.
“The A259 is closed both ways between the Bridge (Tesco) roundabout and Benjamin Gray Drive crossroads. It will be closed for at least two more hours.”
A West Sussex Fire and Rescue spokesman said: “We are currently at the scene of a road traffic accident in Bridge Road Littlehampton involving two vehicles.
“Joint Fire Control mobilised fire engines from Littlehampton and Bognor Regis to the scene along with the Heavy Rescue Tender from Worthing.
“Sussex Police and the South East Coast Ambulance Service are also in attendance.
“The road is currently closed. Please find alternative routes.”
