A phone worth £1,100 was reportedly stolen during a sale when a prospective buyer failed to transfer the money for it.
A man agreed to buy a Samsung Galaxy Fold 3 phone in Brighton on Thursday, February 9, and met with the seller to finalise the purchase.
He later left the scene saying that he would transfer £1,100 for the phone via bank transfer.
However, no money was ever sent and the buyer has since ceased contact with the seller.
Police are now searching for the man after the seller's bank confirmed there were no pending transactions.
