Residents of Hangleton took it upon themselves to clear vast amounts of rubbish from a bridleway and nearby streets.
Following concerns from dog walkers about the waste, Labour activists were joined by local residents to help clear the rubbish in Hangleton Way.
During the clean-up event, people who lived in nearby Hardwick Way and Harmsworth Crescent approached the group, asking if they could also clear litter in their streets as well.
The event collected some 16 bags of rubbish from the streets in Hangleton.

John Hewitt, one of Labour’s local election candidates for Hangleton and Knoll, said: “The bridleway is a treasured part of the ward for a lot of residents.
“We spoke to a number of people who were enjoying a morning walk and who use this route to access the Downs.
“I’m pleased we were able to play a part in improving the area. Like other Hangleton and Knoll residents, we have pride in our community.”
