A recycling point has now reopened after it had to close due to a rat infestation.
Hollingbury recycling point, near Holllingbury Golf Course, had to be closed while the council dealt with the rats.
A council spokesman said earlier: “Unfortunately, there has been an issue with rats at our Hollingbury recycling point near the golf course.
“We believe this has been caused by people leaving food containers and other waste there, despite the fact that it is only a recycling point.”
The spokesman said the council was working with its pest control team to tackle the problem.
It has now been able to reopen.
