A seafront venue has launched events to celebrate International Women’s Day.
Kicking off at 5.30pm tomorrow, Rockwater Hove will host various activities to “connect, inspire, and motivate” women in the city.
There will be an Urban Tri, a new take on a triathlon, with a 5km beach run, a 40-minute training session and a 40-minute yoga session.
Attendees have the option to join the full Urban Tri or just the run.
Rockwater is partnering with Skülptur, a fitness studio in Hove, and lululemon, an activewear brand, to host the event.
After exercising, attendees are invited back to Rockwater to eat, drink and connect with the community.
All activities will be paired with performances by DJ Bklava and there will also be prizes and giveaways from lululemon Store Brighton.
Sally Morgan, strength and conditioning instructor at Skülptur, commented: “Rockwater has become a community hub, a flexible space for people to gather which is what made their location perfect for our event.
"I train small groups of predominantly women every day, where I see everyone uplifting each other in a positive and encouraging way. They leave feeling good about themselves with a sense of confidence in realising what their bodies can do.
“Our aim was to amplify on a larger scale this by creating a group environment that empowers women.
“Everyone is invited and it is about connecting with the community, breaking down barriers and inspiring each other.”
