A man has been taken to hospital following a serious assault, with the attacker yet to be found.
The assault, which took place on Saturday afternoon, saw police officers carrying out an “extensive” search, but no trace of a suspect was found.
Following the attack in Nuthurst Place in Brighton, police have launched an appeal for witnesses and released a description of the assailant.
A spokeswoman for Sussex Police said: “Officers were called to Nuthurst Place, Brighton, shortly after 4pm on Saturday, March 4, following reports of a serious assault.

“The victim was taken to hospital with injuries not thought to be life-threatening.
“An extensive area search was carried out to locate the suspect, but with no trace.”
The attacker is described as a white man, approximately 25 years old, wearing a black tracksuit. He was last seen going in the direction of Wiston Road.
“Enquiries are ongoing and anyone who saw what happened, or who has any other information, is asked to contact police online or by calling 101 quoting serial 854 of 04/03.”
