A new Starbucks in the city will open later this month, it has been revealed.
The new coffee shop will open in London Road in Brighton, within a newly-built student housing block.
Signs teasing the opening of the new coffee shop have been on display for around four months, with a sign with the company’s logo appearing more recently.
The outlet - the chain’s sixth in the city, will open on March 22.
The new shop will be operated by Cobra Coffee, a Sussex-based Starbucks licensee which is part of Southern Co-op.
Cobra Coffee submitted a planning application in March 2020 to replace a former Chinese restaurant on the other side of the road with a Starbucks. However, the site has since reopened as a vegan bistro.
The upcoming opening comes as a new Nando’s restaurant prepares to open as part of the same complex and just weeks after the opening of a new dessert stop next door.
Starbucks also has coffee shops in North Road, St James’s Street, Western Road, Marina Way and Western Road in Hove.
