Peter James has revealed when the next series of Grace will air.

This season of the hit ITV crime show is based on three of his books - Dead Like You, Dead Man’s Grip and Not Yet Dead.

The best-selling author confirmed the third series of the Brighton-based show will air later this month.

“I'm super excited to confirm that Grace season 3 will return to our screens later this month,” he said.

“More news on the air date here on Twitter soon.”

Crews were seen filming in the city at various locations in the summer and towards the end of 2022.

Filming started in August in Rottingdean, with scenes shot at St Margaret’s Church, Nevill Road and on Beacon Hill.

Stars of the show were spotted shooting for the third season around Hove Lagoon on August 31.

They were also seen in Park View Road in Hove and Spring Gardens in Brighton.

John Simm, who plays DS Roy Grace, was seen in Gresham Blake tailors on the corner of Bond Street in Brighton in November.

He was joined by Craig Parkinson, who plays DS Norman Potting, in a scene where the characters were chatting and looking at suits.

Lorries being used to carry lighting and equipment were outside the Jubilee Library in nearby Jubilee Street. There was also a lorry in Bond Street.

Again, in November, a murder scene was filmed in Wyndham Street in Kemp Town, Brighton.

In the scene, police discover the front door window of a house smashed in and cordon off the road, which is just off the seafront.

Police soon realise that the murder is a case of mistaken identity and the intended victim is very much alive.

The Argus was given exclusive access inside the murder house before shooting and got to speak with fictional Argus reporter Kevin Spinella, played by Alexander Cobb.

Speaking about his character, Alexander said: “I work for The Argus in the show, you see the paper all the time. You’ll see me writing a story or taking photos for an article or you’ll see a front page.”

Filming also took place at Brighton Railway Station and Woodingdean Primary School.
