Police are searching shed in allotments in the city as they continue to hunt for a missing baby.
Locks have been broken as police search in sheds at Roedale Valley allotments in Holllingbury, Brighton.
It comes as the missing couple Constance Marten and Mark Gordon were found and arrested in the city last night.
The pair were located by officers from Sussex Police in Stanmer Villas, Brighton last night after a member of the public reported seeing them shortly before 9.30pm.
The couple were arrested and remain in custody.
Now, an urgent search for the baby is taking place in the surrounding area.
Drew, who did not wish to be fully named, told The Argus: "I have had an allotment here for 16 years.
"The police were searching sheds in the allotments. I came down and saw two of my locks had been cut."
Four police officers were seen around a barrel in the allotments.
One scene of crimes officer was taking photographs of the contents.
Sussex Police and the Met Police are working together in the search and have been assisted by the National Police Air Service (NPAS) helicopter and drones.
