Emergency services are at the scene of an incident.
Pictures show the coastguard, an air ambulance and paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance Service currently on Eastbourne seafront, near Treasure Island Adventure Park.
A coastguard helicopter was also in the area earlier.
South East Coast Ambulance Service and HM Coastguard have been contacted for comment.
