A teenager who stabbed his grandmother to death was described as “very calm” when he was arrested - with police bodycam footage shown to court.
Pietro Addis was arrested as police found his grandmother Sue with knife wounds in the bathroom of her home in Cedar Gardens, Brighton.
A camera worn by PC Anabella Perfect showed Addis being arrested and asked questions by officers.
In a written statement, PC Michael Paterno said: “Addis was very calm and wasn’t saying much.
"He just continued to look down to the ground making no changes to his facial expression or gaze.”
Another officer, PC Oliver Hall, who sat with him in a police car on the way to Crawley Police station, said Addis was “completely silent” and “completely still and staring at the seat in front of him”.

Addis, now 19, is standing trial at Lewes Crown Court for the alleged murder of his grandmother Sue, 69.
He admits killing his grandmother and has pleaded guilty to manslaughter but denies murder.
Sue, a popular restauranteur in Brighton and Hove who owned Donatello in The Lanes, was found stabbed to death in the bath in her house in Cedar Gardens in Brighton.
A description of the scene heard that torn shreds of newspaper were found floating in bloody bath water.
A knife, estimated at around 20 inches long, was also found under a bathmat in the bathroom.
In a recording of a call made to a 999 operator, a jury heard how Addis told a 999 operator that “there’s been a murder”.
When asked by the operator how did this happen, Addis said: “no comment”.
Paramedics arrived at the scene at 7.10pm and found Sue’s body in her bathroom.
A post-mortem revealed that she suffered 17 stab wounds to the body.
