Police officers, dogs and a helicopter can be seen in video footage as the search continues for a missing woman.

Laurel Aldridge has been missing from Walberton, near Arundel, since February 14 and concerns are growing for her welfare.

The mum-of-three is undergoing chemotherapy and her family fears she might be experiencing a mental health episode.

Police have conducted extensive searches to find the missing 62-year-old, using dogs, drones and a police helicopter and conducting house-to-house enquiries.

New drone footage shows officers in woodland in West Sussex.

Chief Superintendent Howard Hodges expressed his concerns for Laurel’s safety and said: “Laurel is vulnerable and that’s exactly why we’ve had a comprehensive investigation with a range of searches and a vast number of inquiries to try and locate her, which so far we haven’t been able to do.”

He also credited help from community search groups, which he described as “invaluable” in the efforts to find Laurel.

Ch Supt Hodges encouraged people to “be vigilant” and report any information they have about her disappearance to police on 101, quoting Operation Accrue, with anyone who sees her urged to contact 999 immediately.

He said: “Our officers have been working around the clock pursuing multiple lines of enquiry and are determined to find Laurel.

“We are working closely with Laurel’s family, offering them support and providing them with regular updates on the investigation. They too have also appealed for information to help find her, stating they just want to bring her home safely.

“As part of our appeal, we would be grateful if residents in the Walberton and Slindon areas could check their outbuildings for any sightings of Laurel and ask anyone to come forward who has any CCTV footage or dashcam footage of someone matching Laurel’s description and to report it to us.”

Police also want anyone with relevant dashcam footage, particularly from the time Laurel went missing, to get in touch.

Laurel is the sister-in-law of The Office star Mackenzie Crook, who said the family were “obviously really worried”.

She is described as being around 5ft 4in, with grey hair with blonde highlights and sometimes wears glasses.

Laurel was last seen wearing a turquoise fleece, a maroon tartan scarf and a brown hat. She also had a grey puffer jacket with her, which she is likely to have been wearing.
