The trial into the alleged murder of Sue Addis is set to begin today.
Grandson Pietro Addis will appear at Lewes Crown Court charged with the murder of the restauranteur in January 2021.
The 69-year-old was a hugely popular figure in Brighton and Hove who owned Donatello’s in The Lanes.
She was found dead at her home in Cedar Gardens on January 7, 2021.

Paramedics arrived at the scene at 7.10pm and found her body in the bathroom. A post-mortem revealed that she suffered 17 stab wounds to the body.
Pietro admits killing his grandmother but denies murder.
The trial is expected to last for two weeks.
