Forensics teams were called to the scene of an incident at a McDonald’s in a town centre.
The fast food restaurant in Liverpool Street in Worthing was cordoned off by police, with forensics officers examining the nearby area as part of an investigation.
One officer was seen examining two large knives at the scene of the incident, which The Argus understands took place at around 5.30pm yesterday.
Forensics teams were also seen inside the restaurant as part of their investigation.
Sussex Police have been contacted for comment.
