The Argus article with the latest news on the i360 (Saturday, February) is acknowledgement at last of the simple fact that we, the ratepayers, are going to be paying for the i360 debt way into the future, the next 20 years, a figure in excess of £2 million every year.
I am delighted to see the harsh fighting words of Cllr Daniel Yates but this outcome has been inevitable from the very beginning over ten years ago when the council agreed to take the loan to support this commercial project based on figures... expecting double the estimated numbers of visitors that have ever been achieved.
This is exactly what I pointed out would happen in my headlined letter to The Argus of May 12, 2012, and six letters since.
