Train services to Brighton had to be cancelled due to trespassers on the railway line.
There were reports of trespassers between Lewes and Brighton last night at around 9.20pm.
Trains could not operate between Brighton and Seaford.
Services resumed by around 10.40pm.

A spokeswoman for Southern Rail: “Due to trespassers on the railway between Brighton and Lewes all lines are disrupted.
“Train services running to and from these stations will be cancelled or delayed
“Where possible, trains will still travel between Lewes / Hastings area.
“We'd like to remind all that trespassing is highly dangerous and illegal. Remember to stay safe whilst travelling on our trains.”
British Transport Police have been approached for comment.
