A video shows a jogger running naked alongside a busy seafront road.
They were spotted going for a jog without any clothes on along the A259 in Southwick.
An onlooker filmed them running on the pavement near the junction with Gardner Road this morning.
There was lots of traffic going along the A259 as they headed west, with the power station in the background.
Police officers spotted the man and brought the naked jog to an end. They gave him a foil blanket.
The Argus approached Sussex Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service for comment.
Sussex Police later confirmed that officers were concerned about the man's welfare.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: "Police and emergency services responded to a medical incident in Albion Street, Southwick, at about 10am on February 10.
"Officers were concerned for a man’s welfare and he was detained under the Mental Health Act."
