A new dessert restaurant will open its doors to diners with a sweet tooth later today.
Heavenly Desserts is in London Road, Brighton, at the site of a new student housing development.
The company, founded in 2008, offers a range of luxury desserts from cheesecakes and cookie dough to sundaes and “croffles” - a waffle made with croissant dough.
The restaurant also offers “signature” dishes including baklava and honey, salted caramel, chocolate and popcorn profiteroles and a tiramisu torte.
The sweet treat chain has restaurants across the country, including Liverpool, Southampton, Cardiff and Newcastle.
Yousif Aslam, managing director of Heavenly Desserts, said: "We are elated to be closely reaching our landmark of 50 stores, reaching almost every major city in the UK and Brighton is one we were keen to accommodate with it being such a vibrant and bustling city.
"As dessert dining and no-alcohol offerings have rapidly grown attention over the last few years, we’ve set to offer innovative menus that cannot be found elsewhere on the market and continue to inspire and resonate with our customers."
The new venue, located at a new student housing complex which opened last year, is decked out with bright modern lighting, booth seating, marbled tables and metallic finishings.
A new Co-op store opened at the site last year, with plans in the pipeline to open a new Nandos restaurant.
Starbucks is also set to open a new coffee shop next door to the dessert restaurant in the near future.
The new dessert store will be open from 11am to 11pm on Sunday to Thursday and from 11am to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
