Police have issued a statement after a man was found dead in a property.
Emergency services including Sussex Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to Nepcote Lane in Findon at around 11am today.
The road was blocked for most of the day while police dealt with the incident.
Sussex Police have now confirmed a man was found dead inside a property.
A force spokesman said they are not treating the death as suspicious and that the man’s next of kin have been informed.
The cordon has now been lifted.
“Officers have now stood down from the scene in Nepcote Lane, Findon,” they said.
“Police had been called around 11.25am on Wednesday (February 8) due to concerns for the welfare of a man. Sadly, the man was found deceased inside an address. His next of kin have been informed.
“A cordon was put in place as a safety precaution while initial investigations took place but has now been lifted.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious and the matter has been passed to the coroner’s office.
“We’d like to thank the public for their patience and understanding while officers and representatives from partner agencies responded to this matter.”
