A city swimming pool is to have a facelift with its front refurbished to include colourful cladding, a graffiti mural and a green wall.
A planning application has been made for changes at the Prince Regent in Church Street, Brighton, which include specially commissioned graffiti panels.
Some plants near the entrance will be removed, but two new trees will be planted.
A spokesman for Brighton and Hove City Council said: "Our aim would be to commission a local street artist to create a piece of street art for the wall."
The plans show cladding in a geometric design with bright green, blues and yellows to contrast with the brick front.
The existing bike stands outside the entrance will be replaced with more stands closer to the entrance doors, and a new bike shelter to its right.

The council spokesman added: “If planning permission is granted our aim would be to commission a local street artist to create a piece of street art on the wall to improve the visual appearance of the building and to promote the facility and sport / leisure activities.”
