A man has been arrested after a crash which caused a lorry and car to catch fire.
The crash happened this morning at around 9.30am in London Road, Balcombe.
The lorry driver, a 25-year-old man from Hounslow, west London, has been arrested on suspicion of "remaining in the UK beyond time limit".
He will be passed on to immigration services.
The car and cement mixer, which was left overturned, were both on fire and flames were spreading to telegraph lines and a nearby house when West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service arrived.
The fire service confirmed that no one was trapped inside either vehicle and there were no reported injuries.
The house was damaged during the crash.
Two fire engines from Burgess Hill and crawley attended, as well as Sussex Police and ambulance crews.
