Councillor Barnett has highlighted the loss of toilet facilities in Greenleas (Argus letters).
In Portslade it is even worse.
Portslade has become a public toilet free area. No I don’t mean that they are free, I mean that there are none.
The ones in Easthill Park and Vale Park are locked and barred, and the one in Station Road is closed for refurbishment, although there was no activity there when I passed on Monday.
If one looks at the Brighton and Hove city Council website one is advised to use Portslade Library.
However the library is only open four days a week, and closed at lunchtime on those days.
In other words the nearest daily open toilet is at Hove Lagoon. That is two miles from Easthill Park. You could look at the council website for info but some of that is incorrect.
How much longer can this ridiculous situation to be allowed to continue?
