Sussex-made slasher film Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood And Honey is one of the most anticipated movies of the year, according to IMDb.
The film, which was shot in Ashdown Forest over ten days, sees the much-loved children’s character turn feral and bloodthirsty, terrorising an adult Christopher Robin and a group of women at a remote house in the woods.
According to the online database, the announcement of the film “had the world flocking to IMDb to learn more”.
The horror film was more anticipated by movie fans than the live-action remake of The Little Mermaid, The Super Mario Bros Movie, starring Chris Pratt, and Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny.
However, the most anticipated movie of 2023 among film fanatics is Barbie, starring Margot Robbie in the titular role and with Ryan Gosling as Ken. The romantic comedy, the first live-action Barbie film, comes out this summer.
Announced last year, Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood And Honey drew widespread attention for using the beloved childhood character after the original book by A A Milne entered the public domain.
The film comes to cinemas on February 15 and will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray on April 24.
