Searching for houses in Brighton, like much of the UK, can be quite a tricky task, especially with house prices almost continually on the rise.
You might wonder what the cheapest property is that you can buy in the area, excluding options such as shared ownership or a retirement property.
If you're looking for a property on the lower end of the price scale in Brighton, then Rightmove may have an option for you.
A two-bedroom waterlodge is for sale on the East Jetty in the Brighton Marina, and is taking offers over £190,000.
Take a look inside the property
On its Rightmove page, it describes the property as a "luxury floating apartment" which is ready to move into right away.
It offers alternative living and an "innovative design", and is already equipped, with all furniture and appliances being offered within the sales price.
A selling point is "stunning views" across the harbour whilst high ceilings give a sophisticated finish throughout.
Being a ‘boat’, it is owned outright, only paying annual mooring fees which include gated pedestrian/boat access only with 24 hr security, shower and laundry rooms for guests along with a car parking space.
Additionally, it is exempt from council tax, stamp duty and it is emphasised as having very low running costs.
Understandably the actual property is quite compact, with one living room/kitchen space and a bathroom alongside the two bedrooms.
The prime waterfront location is close to all Marina amenities as well as being a short bus or car journey into Brighton City centre.
