A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after “falling from a height” near the A27.
Police were called to the scene this morning, with part of the road closed to traffic between the Kingston roundabout and Hollingbury, causing severe delays for motorists.
The man suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital via ambulance, where he remains in a stable condition.
A police spokesman said: “Police received a report of a man falling from a height near the A27 at Falmer, just after 9.30am on Thursday, January 12.
“The man suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital via ambulance, where he remains in a stable condition.
“The A27 was closed between the Kingston roundabout and Hollingbury but has since re-opened.”
