A seven-year-old brain tumour survivor has launched a scheme with the help of celebrities and politicians to encourage people to give back to their community.
Ravi Adelekan launched the Dream Week campaign in the House of Commons on Monday, January 9, to inspire community action and to raise awareness about brain tumours.
Ravi, from Brighton, who survived a ten-hour surgery to remove a benign brain tumour, was joined by a range of MPs as well as actor Kate Magowan and children’s writer Sam Sedgeman to launch the scheme.

Labour MP Sam Tarry, who helped to launch the scheme, said: “I became aware of Ravi because he attends the same school as my son.
"Watching his video for A Million Dreams and getting to know his story, it is plain to see his immense bravery and positivity since his brain tumour diagnosis.
“His desire to help others with his fundraising and call for more community service is an inspiration to all of us, even those many years older.
"I’ve always believed in putting community first, and I am honoured to use my position as an MP to support this inspiring initiative.”
Bastille, Coldplay, Mary Berry and Paloma Faith all featured on the song to help raise awareness of brain tumours.
On the song, Ravi said: “I love songs and music, and I think this song is a special song because it’s about your dreams coming true, just like I dream that having a brain tumour doesn’t mean you can do anything less than other people.”
Those taking part in Dream Week are encouraged to spend an hour of their time helping people in the community by lending a helping hand to a person or charity.
The week culminates with the Make Your Dreams Come True Day, which will aim to celebrate the work done by those in the community.
